Medic Escorts on Commercial Flights

 

When Patient's condition allows, Preceptory Medical International can arrange medical repatriations on scheduled commercial flights. This quite often is the most cost-effective way of bringing the Patient back home. Our Operations and Medical Repatriation Team will organise the full bed to bed service which includes arranging the fit-to-fly certificate from Patient's doctor and liaising with commercial airlines to fly Patient back either in a sitting position or on a stretcher. The Patient is escorted by a Preceptory Medical International nurse, paramedic or doctor, depending on Patient's medical condition.

 

Preceptory Medical International only employs the most experienced personnel, including senior critical care doctors and nursing staff and HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Services) paramedics.

 

Doctors - All doctors employed by Preceptory Medical Internaional have at least 5 years post graduate experience and specialise in areas including Critical Care, Emergency Medicine and Intensive Care. All doctors we use for medical flight transfers and private air repatriation will have experience and training in Aero-Medical Transfers and Medical Flights.

 

Nurses - Preceptory Medical International nurses are recruited at senior level and have backgrounds in pre hostpital care, emergency medicine and critical care.

 

Paramedics - Preceptory Medical International only employs paramedics who are certified Critical Care Paramedics and have been trained and worked in air ambulance HEMS services, with a minimum of 5 years experience. They have vast experience in performing medical flight transfers and repatriation.

 

Road transfers with appropriate medical team can also be arranged for the Patient so that transport to and from the airport is provided.

 

 

Private and Event Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS)

 

Preceptory Medical International are able to provide private charter rotary and fixed wing air ambulances along with specialist HEMS Paramedic's or Doctor teams, supported by experienced air ambulance pilots.

Many large scale events encounter issues with high volumes of traffic on the roads, especially during access and egress periods, making a HEMS service at your event an extremely beneficial one.

Our HEMS crews are also able to bypass smaller, local hospitals and quickly but safely transfer patients directly to Major Trauma Centres or other specialist hospitals which meet the clinical requirements of the patient.

Through our partnership with a leading Air Ambulance handler we are able to provide the latest in aircraft along with experienced HEMS pilots and an experienced and fully equipped medical team from Preceptory Medical International. Our aircraft are fully equipped to critical care level.
