​Course Description

This qualification provides learners with skills to further their First Aid training. It is recommended as training for first aiders in the workplace environment who have access to a defibrillator.

Learners gaining this qualification will know that Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External
Defibrillation form an essential part of the chain of survival.
​
The topics covered are regarded by Skills for Health as being important to maintaining good practice in the safe, prompt and effective administration of cardiopulmonary resuscitation and automated external defibrillation.

This award is delivered over a 6 hour programme.

​Certification
On completion of the practical assessments and oral questioning,  ​​​​​The successful student will receive a recognised certificate - valid for a period of three years on which the candidate will have to resit the course.
